Le Petit Verdon AKA The Pit.

Well, I finally evaded the weather that was following me.I'm back in Flagstaff AZ, still staying with Dan, and the weather is great. Perfect temperatures and blue skies all round.Yesterday and the day before Dan and I went climbing at the Pit, and yesterday, having rolled into town the night before, we were joined by Cory and Ela.
Luckily, after putting my first one through the wash, I managed to get hooked up by some sound lads at the Grand Junction best buy and got a new one for free, so photos are going to be showing up again, as well as some videos (if I work out how to edit out eh 45 minutes of crap that's on it).We were not in a photo-taking mood yesterday, and forgot the camera the day before, but here's a few shots I did get of Cory on a sweet arete line that tackled a juggy roof. I jumped on right after he cleaned the draws and managed not to pull another "breakfast burrito" moment and flashed it.

On my way down to Phoenix in a day or two to hook up with Curt and get sandbagged on some boulder problems.

"feel at home" weather and birthdayness..

It's my birthday, yay me!
Anyways, not much climbing has occured recently.
As I said before, flagstaff is all snowy and stuff, and when we went down to phoenix for 2 days it was pouring with rain.
While in Phoenix I did get to see a friend I haven't seen in like almost a year, so that was cool, but I still reeeaaalllyyy need to get out climbing.
I think today we're going to try bouldering in the snow or something.

Flagstaff - messed up on the whole weather thing.

Well, I thought "Arizona, that's pure like a desert, right? It'll be warm enough to climb". Now I'm thinking "Hey, I wonder if the half foot of snow that fell last night will make everything wet, or if the wind may have scoured some of the boulders - wait, no, it's snowing again".
Not sure what the plan is yet, but I'm fairly certain that hot cocoa and hand warmers will be involved. If push really comes to shove and I just gotta climb something, there's a gym in town, but to be really honest I didn't fly halfway round the world to climb indoors. Could meet some fun people, though.
